Job Title: Sales and Marketing Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Sales and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and implementing new sales plans. They work closely with management and digital marketing to fulfill event objectives and drive sales by observing the market, competitors, and industry trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Monitor and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information, and determine proper setup, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc.
  • Research competitor’s sales strategies to identify ways to grow occupancy and increase market share.
  • Coordinating and executing banquet events and corporate parties.
  • Prepares and completes marketing action plan.
  • Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information.
  • Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements and preparing budgets.
  • Advertising and selling our company's products and creating competitive advantages for our company in the market industry.
  • Multitask and manage vendor relations.
  • Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the development/preparation of contracts for all banquets.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to reach common goals.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with managers.
  • Respond to RFPs through various sales channels.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have prior banquet experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience in event planning and sales.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong closing skills
  • Ability to present multiple product lines.
  • Pro-active and good listener
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
